Artist statement
Much of The Parasitic Fantasy Band's synergistic delvings into the realm of live cinema are about experimenting and engaging at an almost ecstatic level with the ethereal and experiential possibilities so finely balanced in the relationship between the actuality of an event and the almost mystical transformation it evokes in those experiencing it.

The Parasitic Fantasy Band have performed in places as diverse as museums, cinemas and art galleries to scummy city service back street alleyways and even at a giant festival's makeshift cinema space strung under the stars in the Outback desert of Australia. They have shown installations in galleries and have had various singular film works screened around the world in film festivals, galleries and film programs.
