The Laughing Samoans
Prettyfull Woman
Reflecting the rich vein of the Samoan performance art of faleaitu, The Laughing Samoans analyse and investigate the Pacific experience through laughter, expressing the complexity of New Zealand life.
The Laughing Samoans is one of the most important and funniest comic acts to emerge from New Zealand and the South Pacific in recent times. Prettyfull Woman is the latest from Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepulea'i who brought you A Small Samoan Wedding, Old School, and more recently, Crack Me Off.
In Prettyfull Woman we will see the irrepressible Aunty Tala entering a beauty contest, and of course, all favorite characters such as Sam and Tony, Paul and Victor and Jonathan and Bryan will also return.
